Returns and Refunds

14 days exchange or refund policy
Our stores will be glad to refund or exchange any item purchased from them within 14 days of purchase as long as the item is returned unused, in its original packaging and is fit to be sold.
If the product has been used, it will still be exchanged or refunded if it was damaged, faulty or did not perform in line with the manufacturer’s specifications at the time of purchase, provided this happens within 14 days.
We do require proof of purchase of the item to provide a refund or exchange.
We trust that you understand that items that have been used extensively may not be considered for a refund or exchange.

Are any goods excluded from the 14-day exchange or refund policy?
For practical and legal reasons there are some goods that are excluded from the 14-day return and exchange policy. These are:

  • Inks and Toners, Software, CD’s, DVD’s and pre-recorded videos that are protected by copyright law. Unless there is a manufacturing defect in the goods, we can only exchange or refund them if they are still in the original condition as sold, and the packaging has not been opened yet.
  • Goods purchased by way of special arrangement or custom order will only be replaced or repaired if the product is defective. This includes products that are not usually stocked by the store and are ordered at the request of a customer.
  • Perishable goods that are returned beyond their expiry dates.

Returning products that were incorrectly supplied
If you receive a product that is different to what you ordered, the store will arrange to collect the product from you, and they will deliver the correct product to you as soon as possible, within reason.
If this happens, please don’t remove the product from its original packaging. Simply contact the store, and they will ensure that the correct item is delivered.

Returns of Softer and Softer x Veldskoen shoes, are based on the following statements of guarantee:

Softer
Softer shoes are subject to a 7 month Fair wear and Tear policy, starting from date of purchase. Upon return, the proof of purchase and packaging must accompany the shoes to validate the purchase. Shoes will be inspected to ensure that they have in fact not performed due to a factory fault and not due to abuse of the shoe by the wearer. If the fault is due to a manufacturing defect, the shoes will be replaced with a new pair of the same Style, Colour and size. No exchanges will be considered if shoes ordered are the incorrect size, as a sizing chart and guide has been provided for download and use, on our website.
In the case of returns, the client is responsible for the Cost of the Courier to return the shoe, and if the shoe is adjudged to have been faulty, then the manufacturer will take responsibility of returning the new shoe at their own cost, to the client as a replacement.

Softer x Veldskoen
Softer x Veldskoen (Schoolskoen) shoes are subject to a 9 month Fair Wear and Tear policy, starting from date of purchase. Upon return, the proof of purchase and packaging must accompany the shoes to validate the purchase. Shoes will be inspected to ensure that they have in fact not performed due to a factory fault and not due to abuse of the shoe by the wearer. If the fault is due to a manufacturing defect, the shoes will be replaced with a new pair of the same Style, Colour and size. No exchanges will be considered if shoes ordered are the incorrect size, as a sizing chart and guide has been provided for download and use, on our website.
Specifically note that leather is a natural product and so will wear differently to synthetic shoes.
